That’s who our Christ is! He is the positive Captain of our team that comes into our huddles to give us confidence, hope, and energy.
Isaiah 42:3-4
In faithfulness, he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching, the islands will put their hope.
This is a promise that we can gain encouragement from the one who encourages. What are we waiting for? We must pray that God fills us with His motivation when we’re discouraged. We can pray that He would show us what is chasing that encouragement away. We can ask Him to show us the things that we need to change. We need Him so that we love, worship, and spread His love and comfort to those around us needing the same.
There are people and spirits out there who don’t want us to have hope or be encouraged. They want us to sit in our sadness and depression so that we can feel continually defeated. They want us to feel that our lives are too complicated for help. The enemy loves to leave us confused and beaten down by the question, “Where do we go from here?”
I want you to know that there is help and hope to be found in the Lord; there is encouragement, restoration, rejuvenation, and refreshing in the Holy Spirit that can make your heart sing again. We have a Captain who is the Encouragement-Bringer!
